All the Light That Passes Through

The story of a young woman’s efforts to find a way to rekindle her relationship with her grandfather following the death of her grandma. Using a family photo album as a springboard, the granddaughter conjures up her childhood memories that the two of them shared.

In a bid to bridge the distance between them, she opens-up to her grandfather and brings her girlfriend to meet him. Unable to cope with the news, the grandfather rejects the young couple.

This piece explores the ways in which one must look back into childhood- through the eyes of someone they love- to begin to overcome differing generational attitudes to queerness.
